Dr. Wesley Sanders, Founder, President, and Executive Director He/Him

Dr. Sanders is a clinical psychologist specializing in treating PTSD and other invisible wounds of war that affect veterans and their family members. He is also an avid gamer (with a passionate, somewhat obsessive nostalgia for Halo 1 LANs) and a former Marine, serving 8 years in the Reserves from 2004-2012.

Frost Call was founded out of many conversations with patients who expressed difficulties with loneliness and disconnection from other veterans in their community. Many veterans—including this one—enjoy the camaraderie of gaming with friends. Frost Call serves to foster this uniquely powerful connection between veterans and support them in the journey of adjusting to post-military life.

Cory Hasselmann, Treasurer He/Him

Cory is a Marine Corps Veteran who joined in 2007 as an 0311/8152 and was medically discharged in 2009. He graduated in 2016 with an Associates Degree in Computer Networking. He has participated and volunteered with many Non-Profit organizations including Mission 22, Operation Supply Drop, and StackUp. In addition to all of his volunteer efforts, he also attends and supports as many local Military associated events as possible, such as WOD 22 and the Jarhead Fallen 7 Memorial.

Cory is also an avid gamer with a love for all video games on all systems, though his favorite console is Xbox. He enjoys all genres of games, but if he had to pick a favorite, it would be Co-op. He has been playing video games for as long as he can remember. They have helped him through many tough situations, including transitioning out of the Military. It is for this reason that he was very excited to join Frost Call in 2019.

After separating from the Navy, he went back to school and is now a civil litigation defense attorney licensed in Massachusetts for an industry-leading insurance company.

Stephen grew up surrounded by board, card, computer, and console games of all varieties but lately has focused on grand strategy games including Crusader Kings 2 and the Total War franchise as well as catching up on the button-mashing Assassins Creed franchise. He was also a member of his undergraduate school’s “Parkside Association of Wargamers” who along with their MTG, Warhammer 40k, and console gaming also fundraised for “Child’s Play Charity” – an organization which delivered therapeutic games and technology to pediatric hospitals to improve patient’s lives though the power of play.

Stephen has been on boards of directors for his entire adult life with a particular focus on organization theory, oversight, and compliance. This includes starting regular internal financial audits in two tax exempt organizations and the revision or re-writing of organizational bylaws for every organization – some of which had not been updated since the commercialization of the internet.
