The Battle Buddy Program

Struggling with the civilian transition and post-military life?

The Battle Buddy Program pairs vets with vets as a mutual support system to help get a sense of that comradery that's missing from civilian life. This is our truest expression of our mission to connect and support veterans.

Disclaimer: This is not a substitute for a crisis line, mentorship program, or mental health treatment program. Just vets looking out for one another. If you or a vet you know is struggling and in crisis, contact the Vet Crisis Line at https://www.veteranscrisisline.net/ or 1-800-273-8255 and press 1 for veterans.

How the Program Works

Sign up here and then you will be contacted with a staff member within 24 hours. They will pair you with a Battle Buddy and then the 2 month program begins. Each week, take time to reach out to your Battle Buddy, play games, chat, and get to know each other. There will also be a weekly check in with a staff member. After the two months are done, you will continue to be part of the Battle Buddy community. We have exclusive events frequently throughout the year and have our own discord channel.

Discord is how we stay connected and share information. Make sure to sign up here. If you are new to discord, there is an official Discord information page.

“Every day 17 veterans lose their lives to suicide. In addition to the impact of mental health challenges, many veterans report feeling a loss of community when they leave the military. This coincides with a risk for suicide that nearly triples within the year following discharge from military service. At the core of Frost Call’s mission is the belief that community saves lives. Having a community of veterans and military service members reminds you that you aren’t alone, makes it easier to ask for help, and gives you a space to relax with others who understand your experiences.”
